Interested in a career in sports media? Here's an opportunity that could MAKE your career......

Everybody knows how competitive sports media can be....

And everybody knows that the way to get that first big job is to have had a really great internship for really great people who care about your success.

Voila! Here's exactly that kind of opportunity:

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- owned by one of our alum -- has established an internship specifically for our students. Meaning you.

There are two of them every year: one in the summer, and one in the fall (during the football season!).

Interns will live and work in Tampa, either during the summer (easier to figure out in terms of your schedule) or the fall (a little more challenging, but we can help -- and it's football season!).

It's a new program, and we understand that it must seem a little daunting to figure out the logistics (and the credits). But every year, we have a number of students who devote an entire semester to a full-time internship experience, and we find a way to make it happen for them (without disrupting their graduation plans and schedule).

In this case, we may also be able to help with housing and travel expenses so you can AFFORD to go to Tampa for a couple of months and complete an internship.

In other words, if you're interested in a career in sports media -- whether working for the networks, or ESPN, or a professional sports team -- this is the opportunity of a lifetime.

And if you apply and are accepted, we can help you make it happen.

Interested (really: how could you NOT be interested?)?

Submit a cover letter and resume to the dean's office through April Johanns, External Relations Coordinator, 379 Park Hall or ajohanns@ithaca.edu. DEADLINE IS Feb. 26 -- which is next THURSDAY.

Finalists for the position will be required to interview in person in Tampa, FL.
