Strongest Ever takes top awards....
Parkies Jacqueline Willemsen, Chris Lavigne, Colleen Evanson and (Professor) Ben Crane have been working for a couple of years on Strongest Ever, a documentary film about Becca Swanson, the world's strongest woman.
And it's all starting to pay off.
The film was just named the Audience Choice Award at the 2008 Omaha Film Festival.
It won the Providence Grand Prize at the Rhode Island International Film Festival

And (Ben has just informed me),the film is "selling like hotcakes." It's been on the distribution market for only a short time, and it has already been purchased by national networks in France, Italy, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.
Proof positive that talent, commitment, persistence and a little (OK, a lot) of help from a dedicated faculty member/mentor can produce great results. (And maybe even some real income from all those distribution deals...)
