The Audience Decided, and WE WON!

Team "Ithaca is Park 2.0" just took home the Audience Choice Award at the Lake Placid Film Forum's "Sleepless in Lake Placid" 24 Hour film contest.

Greg Dunbar '10, Casey Dwyer '10, Andrew Kalicki '10, Ayshea Khan '11, Michael Sutter '11, all CPMA students made up the team. They were required to conceptualize, cast, write, shoot, edit, score, and distribute a 10 minute film in a time frame of 24 hours. It was also mandatory to include 5 elements in their film, which included a dog, a marathon, acid rain and a book by an author attending the film forum, as well as the theme of a break-up.

Their film, entitled Thoreauly Lost (no, that's not a typo), is a comedy revolving around a struggling writer in search of inspiration. It received the highest rating from those in attendance at the screening. The film should be available for viewing online soon.

Team Ithaca was the youngest team in attendance (the only ones who didn't get free drink tickets at the wrap party!). Our competitors were Emerson, Syracuse, SUNY Plattsburgh and Burlington.

Congratulations to Greg, Casey, Drew, Ayshea and Mike for an amazing achievement under difficult circumstances. I can't wait to see the film!
